HAMMOND GROUP PORSCHE 996 GT3
The car:
Believed to be the first ever Porsche GT3 to arrive in New Zealand, this car was prepared for motorsport competition in 2003 and successfully raced by Will Selles and his wife Ainsley in the NZ Targa Rally. Subsequently this car has also competed in circuit racing, driven by Richard Lester and Peter Millener amongst others.
Hammond Group Motorsport will be running Sam Hammond in this car in selected Porsche Track events and Targa Rally events.
A high-speed track passenger experience in this exciting racing car is especially popular amongst customers of, and suppliers to, Hammond Group.

TARGA HAWKES BAY 2019
Sam and Darryl competed in the Targa Hawkes Bay 2019 covering over 400km of special stages across 3 days starting in Rotorua and finishing up in Havelock North.
A local 10 year old car enthusiast, Corey came along for a ride in our GT3 on the Sunday morning before we departed Havelock North for the day’s events. He has a keen interest in racing and has started out practicing in Karts and one day hopes to be competing.
